1983 Mercedes Benz 380 SEC "La Coupè"
The W126 Benz was widely recognized for its straight, clean and distinctively Sacco-style design and it has always been an icon of class and elegance. Surely no one would have dared to have the nerve of turning one of the symbols of the post-war decadent years into a rebellious and rather interesting highway bruiser.
Starting from an unassuming 380 SEC which covered only 95.000 km and still bearing original plates, the famed motorcycle customizer Nicola "Mr.Martini" was able to put his touch into a car not associated with rebels. From a chrome bonnet to a unique gray/green colour with raspberry-red accents to a new exhaust system, lowered suspension and 15'' AMG style wheels, this Benz turned from unnoticeable cruiser to rebellious trouble-maker.
It's a unique motorcar that is able to break all the rules, able to make the potent V8 under its bonnet sing like no other Benz from this era has ever done before. No other car like this can be found anywhere at the moment and the unique statement of non-mainstream thinking, audacious creativity and forward-looking ideas.
