Together with Ferrari’s front-engined V12 cars, the Aventador is the last remaining naturally aspirated V12 car currently on sale. Undoubtedly one of the most inimitable and magnificent engine configurations, these cars are the epitome of the traditional Italian exotic as typified by the Ferraris and Lamborghinis of the 1960s and beyond. Things have come a very long way indeed since then, and the Aventador is undoubtedly the most extraverted and exotic, carrying forward the Lamborghini legacy initiated by the Miura and then solidified by the Countach.

Lamborghini’s flagship model, the Aventador was notable not only for its all-new V12 engine (only the second in Lamborghini’s history since all prior motors were derived from the Bizzarrini-designed powerplant of the early 1960s) but also its fully carbon fiber chassis. The standard Aventador was joined by the SV variant, which added 50hp (for a total of 740hp), additional carbon fiber (which reduced weight by 110 pounds), revised chassis, and aerodynamics, which added both downforce and even more aggressive appearance. This was subsequently replaced by the SVJ, which was substantially revised compared to the SV.

In addition to being retuned, the SVJ featured several hardware updates including titanium intake valves, lightened flywheel, and titanium exhaust system. The result is a 19 hp increase to 759 hp, and an increase of 22 foot-pounds of torque, which arrives 750 RPM sooner. The chassis and aerodynamics were updated as well, with 20% stiffer roll bars, and for the first time on a V12 Lamborghini, active aerodynamics, which increased downforce by 40% and drag by just 1% over the SV. The result of all these changes was a substantial 15 second improvement in the car’s Nurburgring lap time, enough for the SVJ to take the production car lap record from the Porsche GT2RS.

This particular SVJ is a one-owner lifelong Northern California car which has covered 7,100 miles from new. It has more than $90,000 of options for a total MSRP of $611,565.00. Included among these are ad personam interior and exterior (in oro Elios), red brake calipers, travel package, visibility and light, carbon rocker covers, telemetry system, Lamborghini sound, multifunction steering wheel, colored footplate, colored interior SVJ logo, electric heated seats, carbon fiber wheel caps, MR suspension +LS, carbon mirror housings, garage door opener, exterior detail + fixed air intake, black SVJ logo, internal cross stitching, and fire extinguisher. it comes with car cover, battery charger, center lock wheel nut tool, books, and tools. It was signed by Valentino Balboni in 2021.
