This car will make a great project for an enthusiast who wants to invest sweat equity, resulting in a great-looking car on the other end. The exterior of this car has received a fairly low-quality respray at some point in its life, and the paint exhibits scuffs, scratching, and scrapes around the car. The most major flaws noted on the exterior are fairly sizable dents on the right front fender and door, and paint scraped off of the left rear wheel arch. The Targa bar has been wrapped with carbon fiber-look wrap and the Targa top panel shows signs of separating and is likely not watertight. A comprehensive paint correction on this car would likely be a great starting point to see what you are working with and refine the exterior from there. The interior is in better shape but there is some seat cracking, and a seam has separated on the driver’s seat. The sun visors are missing and the rearview mirror needs to be reattached. Mostly simple projects that wouldn’t be time-consuming to bring the interior up to a significantly higher standard. Mechanically, the engine runs well, but the insulation foam is missing from the firewall, a vibration is noted above 60 mph, there are some typical air-cooled Porsche leaks from the crankcase, and the CV boots are leaking. Transmission mounts should be replaced, as should the shocks due to age and wear, and there is some surface rust showing in spots, but nothing that should be of real concern. This 911 Targa has great bones and with some relatively minor work, will be a significantly more desirable car.
