2006 Ferrari F430 Spider

2006 Ferrari F430 Spider

Exceptionally Complete and Clean Two-Owner Gated 430 Spider.

Introduced in 2004 at the Paris Motor Show, the Ferrari F430 was among the most advanced Ferrari road cars ever at the time. Gaining more than half a liter of displacement and 83hp over its predecessor, the engine is an 8,500 RPM naturally-aspirated screamer that produces more than 110hp per liter. Also noteworthy was the transition from timing belt to timing chain, which dramatically reduced the complexity and cost of major services. The car was sharpened, both dynamically and aesthetically over its 360 forebear. The Pininfarina design, led by Frank Stephenson, enhanced downforce through the use of advanced aerodynamic testing while twin front ovoid air intakes recalled the legendary 1961 156 Formula 1 car’s “shark nose.” The platform was an evolution of the 360’s groundbreaking aluminum chassis, while additional mechanical innovations included an electronic limited slip active differential (E-Diff), Manettino steering wheel controls for the first time on a Ferrari road car, and Skyhook electronically adjustable suspension.

This particular car is a two-owner example supplied new by Ferrari of New England on the 17th of March 2006. Its first owner used it sparingly and retained the car for nearly 14 years, covering just 7,700 miles during that time. The car is uniquely configured, being finished in Rosso Scuderia (a color often associated with the 360 Challenge Stradale) with Cuoio interior. Options include Scuderia fender shields, ball-polished wheels, red brake calipers, electric seats with black daytona inserts, and leather rear shelf and door moldings. At 8,973 miles in September 2020, the car received new brake rotors and pads, as well as fresh brake fluid and gear oil for the transmission. Clear bra was also installed on the front bumper, hood, and front fenders. Additionally, in May 2021, the car received an annual service, which included an oil change, new air filters, new belts, and a 4-wheel alignment. The convertible top was also adjusted and a fluid flush was performed for its mechanism.

The car is exceptionally complete, and comes with tools, spare repair kit, compact spare, battery charger, Ferrari car cover, both and full books set including service booklet, Becker radio code cards and other documentation. Additionally, the car has a VIP (vehicle identification passport) book with presentation and shipping boxes which includes photos of this car being constructed.

To further our mission of bringing trust and transparency to the secondary market, ISSIMI created an in depth inspection that is unique in the automotive industry. An ISSIMI report is a true mechanical inspection performed by marque experts to inform asset quality and value, not just a traditional binary checklist meant to enable sales or a long, draconian PPI list. The mechanical component of the inspection is paired with a full background research project into the provenance of the particular chassis, including collection and auditing of all available documentation, from service records, ownership transfers, import/export certificates, restoration invoices, and third party marque specific reports where possible.

Each individual inspection is performed in ISSIMI's proprietary inspection platform and database to track asset quality at a moment in time but also the provenance and history of a given chassis number.

An ISSIMI report is far more in depth than the type of inspections and research docs currently being used by dealers and auction houses, and client feedback tells us the ISSIMI approach is the type of inspection that experienced buyers require and elite sellers are happy to provide.
