1984 Ferrari 208 GTB Turbo

Rare Italian Market Only 208 Turbo, Ferrari's First Turbocharged Car. Recently Rebuilt Engine.

Created specifically for the Italian market, which heavily taxed cars with displacement exceeding 2.0 liters, the 208 was mechanically and aesthetically very similar to the 308. It was differentiated primarily by the engine, a 1991 cm³ V8 from the Dino 208 GT4, fitted with a KKK turbocharger in 1982 to create the 208 Turbo. This made it Ferrari's first ever turbocharged car. Initially, this engine was available only for the GTB and from 1983, also for the GTS. Externally, the car could be identified by the addition of NACA ducts ahead of the rear wheels. Inside, Zegna cloth seat inserts, as sometimes seen in the BBi but never offered in the 308, distinguished the 208, although leather could also be specified.
