2012 Fisker Karma
In a daring move, Henrik Fisker, the celebrated designer of the BMW Z8, Aston Martin DB9, and V8 Vantage, founded his own car company. Initially, the company produced coachbuilt BMW 6 series and Mercedes SLs, but went on to design and manufacture a dedicated model, the Karma. A plug-in hybrid, the car was innovative and aesthetically striking despite its development and production being fraught with the sort of troubles that arise when trying to create a new car and a new company simultaneously. Eventually, after production of more than 2,500 cars, the sole supplier of batteries to the company filed for bankruptcy, thus ending the production of the Fisker Karma and ultimately leading to the bankruptcy and dissolution of the company.
This particular car is a one-owner EcoSport trim model which has spent its entire life in the San Francisco Bay Area and has been looked after by the well-known Karmas specialist in San Francisco, Pat’s Garage. It has covered just 6,700 miles from new and is in excellent condition.
