One-Owner 1700 Mile Carrera GT. Lifelong California Car.

Despite being little more than 15 years old, the Carrera GT is already a world away from today's supercars. A naturally-aspirated manual transmission love letter to the good old fashioned sports car, the Carrera GT is already an icon, the likes of which we won't ever see again. Featuring a carbon fiber chassis and carbon ceramic brakes, the CGT was properly contemporary in some respects, but marvelously traditional in others, particularly its powertrain. Critically, the car is rear wheel drive, has a conventional manual transmission, and Its engine is naturally aspirated. It produces in excess of 600hp and was derived from a stillborn F1 engine, that the ended up in a stillborn Le Mans prototype, only to finally see the light of day in a street car of all things. Where the 959 is accessible and benign in how it presents speed, the Carrera GT has a thrilling rawness to how it performs, a character that is painfully absent from almost all contemporary supercars and has made it wildly collectible even in its teenage years.

Sold new by Carlsen Porsche in Redwood City, California, this one-owner 2005 Carrera GT has remained in the San Francisco area its entire life and is finished in the sinister and desirable color combination of black with black interior.
