2009 Ferrari F430 16M Scuderia Spider
Sold
Introduced to celebrate Ferrari's 16th Formula 1 Championship, the Scuderia Spider 16M was limited to just 499 units and was a significantly upgraded version of the F430, mirroring most of the changes that the Scuderia received over the F430 Coupe. One of the primary focuses of the changes was to reduce weight, and indeed the 16M weighs approximately 175 pounds less than standard car thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber, lighter wheels, ceramic brakes, lighter bumpers and lightweight carbon fiber seats. The brakes were enlarged and the engine revised to increase power to 510hp thanks to revised intake and exhaust systems. The transmission was also revised to provide faster shifts.
This particular example has been part of the same California collection for five years after having been sold new in Southern California. It has covered fewer than 5,300 miles and is optioned with racing stripe, carbon fiber exterior rocker panels, nero tone on tone stitching, red tachometer, iPod integration, JBL sound system, and nero alcantara and technical fabric trimmed large racing seats.
