Significance

The 991.2 GT3 Touring occupies a unique place in Porsche’s modern history. Introduced quietly in 2018, the Touring Package stripped the GT3 of its fixed rear wing and overt aero in favor of a restrained silhouette inspired by the 911 R, while retaining the full GT3 drivetrain and chassis. Beneath its subtle exterior sits Porsche’s 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six, revving to 9,000 rpm and paired here with the six-speed GT Sport manual—an increasingly rare combination even at the time of production. For many enthusiasts, the Touring represents the most complete expression of the modern 911: motorsport-derived engineering wrapped in an understated form, free of visual excess. It is a car that rewards involvement rather than attention, and one that has already earned long-term collector status as Porsche continues to move away from naturally aspirated, manual-focused GT cars.

About this vehicle

Completed on March 15, 2019, this GT3 Touring is finished in Jet Black Metallic over a black leather interior with cloth seat centers, accented by red contrast stitching. The specification reflects a driver-focused build, anchored by the 6-speed GT Sport manual transmission and full bucket seats, while retaining thoughtful road-use options including front-axle lift, LED headlights with PDLS, Bose surround sound, and the Chrono Package. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) further reinforce the car’s motorsport pedigree. The original MSRP totaled $179,160. The car currently shows approximately 1,500 original miles, reflecting exceptionally limited use since new. Ownership history indicates three private owners, with mileage accumulation remaining minimal throughout. A CARFAX report notes a minor rear-end damage from December 2019, with no airbag deployment and no structural damage reported. Subsequent service records reflect routine maintenance by Porsche dealers and respected independent specialists. The car was originally delivered with black leather and cloth seat centers. After delivery, the seat inserts were replaced with a red tartan plaid pattern insert, adding a period-inspired contrast that complements the Touring’s understated character. The modification is cosmetic in nature and fully reversible, with no changes to the underlying factory specification. Presented today in one of the most discreet and enthusiast-driven configurations available, this GT3 Touring combines ultra-low mileage, a manual gearbox, and restrained aesthetics. It stands as a compelling example of Porsche’s modern GT philosophy — engineered for drivers who value involvement over attention.

Can I come and inspect the car? I would be coming from out of town.

Hi Don, certainly. We have a comprehensive inspection report you can find directly on the listing, but I will be in touch with you to coordinate.

Vehicle was for sale 3 weeks ago on ISSIMI, it sold and now it's back what happened?

Please add back the Carfax. It was there last time you had the car listed, strange?

How is there no owner's manual, service book and waranty book?

How bad is the scuff on left rear fender, can it be easily polished out?

Do you have the build sheet, presumably yes if you list the MSRP with options?

Please confirm that original seat inserts will be delivered with sale.

    Thanks much
    David

Hi David, we were unable to make contact with the winning bidder so it was never sold.
    Carfax is now added back.
We will ask the owner for the owners manual. Service book and warranty book are not applicable to this US-spec Porsche.
The scuff is not deep so most likely can be polished out. We will do that this week.
Build sheet has been uploaded to the MISC section of the gallery.
Original inserts are with the car and included with sale.

    hi there,
    1. are you selling this on consignment from a private buyer rather than a dealer sale (relevant for me as i'd be shipping to/registering in nv)
    2. how extensive was the rear damage? could you provide the invoice from the repairs and information on the extent of repainting done?
    3. do you still have the original seat inserts as part of the sale?

    many thanks!

    This is on consignment.

We don't have any documentation from the rear damage but the paint meter readings were all consistent (as shown in the inspection report)

    Original seat inserts are included.
