Significance

Named for the Ferrari 250 Tour de France which won that race no fewer than four times in the late 1950s, the f12 TdF is a limited production track-oriented version of the outstanding F12 Berlinetta. Lightened by nearly 250 pounds, the TdF also gained about 40hp from its naturally-aspirated V12 and received significant aerodynamic tweaks as well as shorter gearing from its faster shifting gearbox. The resulting car has a dramatically different character, with a healthy dose of the old-fashioned brutality that defines some of the most memorable supercars of all time. Available only to Ferrari’s best customers, just 799 examples were made.
