When you open the unique extended butterfly doors, you are greeted with a very modern 2+2 interior that would look at home in a current model year car. Although this is an unconventional setup, it produced some impressive results with 0-62 mph clocked in just 4.4 seconds, and it would keep pulling to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. BMW knew when they put the i8 into production that it was never going to be the conventional choice for buyers- with its concept car styling and cutting-edge power plant, but with over 20,000 units produced over six years, it showed that the market was there for a more innovative sports car.
