Significance

When Porsche unveiled the GT3 with the 996 generation, it quickly became one of the brand’s most sought-after cars and the ultimate choice for the driving enthusiast. With a focus on track work and pure driving enjoyment, the GT3 was a stripped-down variant of the standard 911 but was equipped with a motorsport-derived flat-6. The 991 generation GT3 was equally as anticipated as every generation before it but left some enthusiasts disappointed when Porsche announced it would only be available with a PDK Gearbox. With an otherworldly 9,000 rpm flat-6, excellent styling, and a chassis that could out-handle almost anything on the road, Porsche assumed a PDK would be the desirable choice given the gearbox’s ability to handle track driving easily. But Porsche listened to the 3-pedal enthusiasts and, for the 991.2 generation, began offering the GT3 once again with a manual.

About this vehicle

This 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 is finished in Miami Blue over black leather and Alcantara interior with full bucket seats and shows 12,530 miles at the time of cataloging. This bright blue is a stunning shade on any 911 and looks particularly nice on this example, as it is paired with black trim around the car as well as satin black wheels. Up front, LED Headlights with PDLS are optioned, and the headlight washers are finished in Miami Blue to help them blend in. The interior of this GT3 is a great place to spend time- dominated by a pair of hardback bucket seats in black leather with Alcantara centers, the original owner wanted to give the interior some extra pops of color. To do that, they specified the dashboard trim, center console trim and seat belts all be finished in Miami Blue to match the exterior which makes the otherwise rather dark interior really stand out. Alcantara was optioned on the headliner, steering wheel, shift boot and sun visors, and the Bose Premium Surround Sound system was also ordered on this example. Powering the GT3 is Porsche’s legendary 4.0-liter Flat-6, which produces 493 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque while revving all the way to 9,000 rpm. What makes this engine so unique is that not only will it spin at 9,000 rpm all day, but it is also wonderfully torquey and responsive in the lower revs, making it just as happy running around town as it is out on the track. To enhance the sound, a Fabspeed muffler bypass was installed that isn’t overly loud but gives the car a great tone. This example is paired with Porsche’s sublime 6-speed manual transmission, which offers some of the best shift feel available at any price and is a joy to use. Carbon ceramic brakes with bright yellow calipers are optioned on this car, providing fade-free stopping on even the most intense track days. Some road cars will go down forever in Porsche’s history books as the company’s best work- without a doubt, the 991.2 GT3 with a 6-speed manual will be on that list. Even with the new GT3 on sale today, many who have driven both still gravitate toward the 991.2 generation as a real best-of-both-worlds car that Porsche may never be bettered.

You mention rock chips in the rear lower fenders, is that just in the PPF or underneath in paint? Hard to tell in pictures. Every panel has PPF, does that include rear spoiler and bumper too?

All the rock chips stated in the inspection are on the PPF.

Rear spoiler and bumper have PPF.

Still interested in the car but had a few questions:
    1. Track use known?
    2. The first owner was a corporation, do you have any information on that?
    3. There was some insulation damage around the battery-any more information regarding that.
    4. Any service records?

    Thanks

Great 991.2 in the color I am looking. Two questions:
    1. I need a FAL to navigate my driveway but did not see it listed for this vehicle
    2. Degree of track use and estimated PCCB wear

    Thank you
