Significance

The F12 Berlinetta represents a pivotal chapter in Ferrari’s front-engine V12 lineage — a bridge between the raw analog power of earlier grand tourers and the advanced, hybrid-assisted models that would follow. Introduced in 2012 as the successor to the 599 GTB, the F12 delivered a dramatic leap in both performance and design. Its 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 was the most powerful Ferrari road car engine at the time, producing 731 hp and revving to a thrilling 8,700 rpm — a high-water mark for unassisted Ferrari engines. Crucially, the F12 was also the final front-engine V12 GT styled by Pininfarina, blending timeless proportions with aerodynamic innovation. Features like the Aero Bridge, which channels airflow over and through the bodywork, showcased Ferrari’s increasing focus on integrated aero without compromising elegance. Underneath, a new aluminum spaceframe chassis reduced weight and improved stiffness, while a suite of active systems — including magnetorheological dampers, F1-Trac, and E-Diff — brought a new level of composure and control to the front-engine format. Today, the F12 stands out as a purist’s Ferrari — rear-wheel drive, naturally aspirated, and free of hybrid complexity. For collectors, it marks the end of an era in both design and engineering, and remains one of the most viscerally satisfying V12 GT cars ever produced.

About this vehicle

Delivered new in Washington State and now offered by its third California-based owner, this 2016 F12 Berlinetta is a highly optioned example finished in Grigio Silverstone over Nero leather with Rosso stitching. With just under 18,000 miles from new and a $369,037 MSRP, it benefits from over $49,000 in factory options including carbon fiber racing seats, carbon driver zone with LEDs, suspension lifter, Alcantara accents, and 20-inch forged wheels finished in dark gray. Inside, the Nero leather cabin features red Cavallino-embroidered headrests, red seatbelts, and the desirable Alcantara headliner and rear shelf, all in excellent condition. This car is equipped with carbon ceramic brakes, the optional front and rear parking cameras, and Ferrari’s magnetorheological dampers. The paint shows well throughout and still wears its original PPG tag. A minor rear accident was reported in 2017 with no airbag deployment, and the car remains structurally sound with no ongoing issues. Included service records show regular maintenance, including the factory brake reservoir recall. Offered with manuals, charger, and full documentation, this is a well-optioned example of Ferrari’s last Pininfarina-designed V12 GT.
