Significance
Introduced in 2016, the DB11 marked a pivotal transition for Aston Martin. It was the first model developed under the company’s “Second Century” plan and the first to ride on Aston Martin’s new bonded aluminum platform, replacing the long-running VH architecture that had underpinned nearly every Aston since the mid-2000s. While the model initially debuted with a twin-turbocharged V12, the DB11 V8 followed shortly after and quickly established itself as the more dynamically focused version of the car.
Developed in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG, the DB11 V8 uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine producing 503 horsepower and 498 lb-ft of torque. Beyond the engine itself, Aston Martin recalibrated the chassis, steering, and suspension tuning to take advantage of the lighter powerplant. Compared with the V12 model, the V8 sheds roughly 250 pounds from the front of the car, improving balance and turn-in while preserving the DB11’s long-distance grand touring character.
The DB11 also introduced several aerodynamic innovations for the brand, most notably the “AeroBlade” system, which channels air through ducts hidden within the rear pillars to generate downforce without the need for a traditional rear spoiler. Combined with its long hood, cab-rearward proportions, and dramatic grille, the DB11 remains one of the most distinctive modern Aston Martins.
About this vehicle
This 2018 Aston Martin DB11 V8 is finished in Golden Saffron over an Obsidian Black leather interior and shows 15,527 miles at the time of cataloging. The metallic orange finish highlights the DB11’s sculptural bodywork and contrasts with black exterior trim and multi-spoke alloy wheels.
Inside, the Obsidian Black cabin features Aston Martin’s sweeping dashboard architecture, integrating a leather-wrapped center console, stitched door panels, and a driver-focused instrument binnacle. Mercedes-derived infotainment hardware is incorporated through a centrally mounted display and rotary controller, bringing modern connectivity and usability to the traditionally crafted Aston Martin interior.
Power comes from a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Rated at 503 horsepower and 498 lb-ft of torque, the DB11 V8 accelerates to 60 mph in roughly four seconds and offers a top speed exceeding 180 mph. The lighter engine configuration gives the V8 model a more responsive front end and sharper handling characteristics compared with the V12 variant.
The accompanying CARFAX report shows no reported accidents or damage and no odometer discrepancies. The report also reflects consistent registration history and documented service activity.
Finished in the vibrant Golden Saffron colorway and powered by the AMG-derived twin-turbo V8, this DB11 presents as a striking example of Aston Martin’s modern grand touring flagship.
